Making Paper with “Wool”
Ottawa School of Art
W26SWS08 | ALL LEVELS
Orleans Campus, Shenkman Arts Centre
245 Centrum Boulevard, Ottawa, ON K1E 0A1
Workshop Description
In this fun and unique 1.5-day workshop you’ll transform everyday odds-and-ends into the unusual: Using any supplies lying about the house, for example: coloured thread, newsprint, ribbon, yarns, art sprinkles, glitter, small beads, even little buttons, and your instructor will bring the stuff to turn it into paper. Yes, PAPER!
Workshop Outline
On Thursday, participants will make three sheets of paper approximately 12" x 14".
They must then hang and dry in the studio overnight.
On Friday morning, I will help participants remove their papers from the netting and if dry enough show how to further embellish your paper through easy machine or hand stitches.
